Artists, Dancers, Gypsies, Soul Searchers, Students & Dreamers we invite you to gather at our Bushland Paradise for the weekend of the 25 – 28 November 2021. We will laugh, we will play, we will camp & we will dance in the forest under the stars. We aim to create a space conducive to human creativity and freedom of expression.  Through music & dance we will bring our consciousness into alignment and become a united tribe.

Bohemian Beatfreaks will be located 2 hours drive North of Brisbane in a Beautiful Natural Environment, it makes the perfect start to a summer road trip for you and the tribe. Just don’t forget to pack the Tipi!

Aside from music, the Festival also features a Vibrant Market Village with healthy food and drink options. When you’re in more of a Netflix & Chill mood we have a late night cinema,  tea lounge and chill space with Daily Yoga classes & other workshops.

Our venue will be located just 2 hours drive north of Brisbane in the Sunshine Coast.

The campground is a beautiful flat valley floor with mountain backdrops and the event area is nestled amongst shady trees along the creek flats. You will find a spectacular swimming hole perfect for cooling off in the heat of the day. 

We have toilets, hot showers & water bottle refill stations around the venue for your comfort. Please respect these facilities and our beautiful venue. We are very lucky to have such a beautiful space to gather and dance in. Let's all work together to keep it beautiful and respect our planet.

There will be a TOTAL FIRE BAN in full effect during the event. Please do not attempt to light camp fires. Our security will remove any people that are found breaking the fire ban.

Camping for the weekend is included in the cost of your ticket. You will be camping in the Australian wilderness for 3 - 4 days so ensure you pack enough supplies to be comfortable for your stay. However please also be mindful of minimizing the waste you create.  RV's & Caravans are welcome [Powered Sites are available]. If you don't own camping gear you can rent a pre-pitched bell tent from Wow Tents starting at $120. These spacious tents will be set up in a reserved camping area close to amenities. Bedding packages are also available. For everyone else we have made this list of things to bring to help you;
  • Costumes, Body Paint & Bio Glitter
  • Doof Totem (so your tribe can find you on the dance floor)
  • Tent & Bedding
  • Tarps or Gazebos (for Shade & Shelter back at camp)
  • LED Lights to decorate your camp & your costumes
  • A Camp Flag or mascot (to help make it easy to find your way home after a long night)
  • Picnic Blankets, ground mats and cushions
  • Incense
  • Cooler / Esky / 10L Water dispenser
  • Reusable Water Bottle.
  • Garbage Bags [You are expected to Bring all your trash HOME with you]

Bohemian Beatfreaks is a sustainably conscious festival.  Please only bring good quality, reusable camping gear. If you can't afford to buy good quality equipment please consider renting a Glamping Tent through WOW Tents.

We ask that all guests follow these simple rules to ensure everyone at the event has an enjoyable experience;

  • This event is on BUSH FIRE PRONE LAND. If there is a bush fire, for your safety, please follow instructions of Event Staff & Security and evacuate to the Bush Fire Emergency Assembly Area to the South of Sunshine Camp.
  • NO ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES.
  • NO LITTERING
  • LOOK AFTER YOUR MATES
  • NO FIRES
  • NO GLASS
  • NO ANTI  SOCIAL  BEHAVIOUR
  • LEAVE NO TRACE  [take all your trash home & recycle what you can]
  • MUST BRING PHOTO ID
  • Anyone Under the age of 18 MUST arrive with a parent or legal guardian. 
  • No Arrivals between 12 midnight & 9am any day of the event

Police will have an increased presence on the public roads surrounding the venue. They WILL be doing breath & swab testing both before & after the event. They WILL be searching cars. We support the efforts of the QLD Police in ensuring the safety of  road users surrounding our venue. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BRING ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES into this festival. You will be caught and you give the festival a bad name.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

The following items are prohibited. If found in the possession of any patron they will be confiscated immediately and the patron may be asked to leave the premises.

  • NO Glass (beer bottles, mirrors, glass containers etc.)
  • NO campfires or fires of any kind
  • NO Negative Vibes
  • NO Motor Bikes or Quad Bikes
  • NO Commercial signage or advertising
  • NO Dogs or animals of any kind
  • NO Fireworks or flares
  • NO Handheld lasers
  • NO Illegal substances
  • NO Nitrous oxide
  • NO Excessive Amounts of Alcohol
  • NO Weapons of any kind
  • NO Couches / Lounge Chairs / Beanbags
  • NO Generators

SPECIAL COVID-19 Terms & Conditions of Sale

  • When purchasing tickets and add-on products to this event you must acknowledge & accept these are very unusual, unpredictable times with restrictions changing randomly for better or worse.
  • In the event the Festival cannot legally proceed during the 25 - 28 November 2021 due to a resurgence of COVID-19 virus in Queensland, Government Restrictions or any other force majeure event the Festival will be postponed to a new weekend with all valid tickets being automatically transferred to the new event dates.
  • In the unfortunate event the festival is postponed and you can not attend the new festival dates, your ticket can be used as a credit to attend the following year's Bohemian Beatfreaks festival (in November 2022). If you don't use your credit to attend the subsequent Bohemian Beatfreaks festival (after the postponed edition) your credit will expire.
  • No Refunds will be offered under any circumstance.

  • Everyone must complete a compulsory COVID Safe declaration prior to entering the site. This declaration will be emailed to all patrons prior to check-in. We are unable to check-in patrons who have not submitted a declaration.
  • Practise social physical distancing (1.5m).
  • Campsites are required to be 5m apart.
  • Please exercise appropriate hygiene regarding washing hands with soap, use of sanitisers, and leave no trace behind when you depart the venue.
  • Cough or sneeze into your arm.
  • Stay home if unwell and get tested.
  • Download the COVIDSafe app.
  • There will be frequent cleaning of all areas and increased cleaning of high touch surfaces.
  • Hand sanitiser stations will be available throughout the site.
  • All workers will have completed COVID safety training.
  • We will be auditing COVID safety throughout the event to make sure we get it right.
  • Please follow the directions of the COVID Safe signage throughout the site.
  • There will be a First Aid medical team on-site
  • The Event Info Booth is staffed 24/7, please promptly report any health and safety incidents.
Conditions of Entry Visitors are not permitted to enter Bohemian Beatfreaks if they:
  • Are experiencing any flu-like symptoms (sore throat, runny nose, persistent cough, shortness of breath, fever);
  • Have been in close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19
  • Are awaiting results of a test of COVID-19;
  • Reside with anyone who is awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test;
  • Have returned from international travel and failed to observe the government requirement to quarantine for 14 days.
  • Have not completed a COVID Declaration Form issued by REL Events Pty Ltd.
  • Register a temperature above 37.5c
  • Have travelled from a COVID Hot Spot area within 14 days of arriving at the festival.
  Visitors who are not subject to any of the above conditions for exclusion must be willing and able to agree to the following requirements to:
  • Notify the on-site medical team immediately for assessment if you become unwell; then notify the on-site event manager; and follow any directions given by them.
  • At all times, maintain social distancing measures (as per QLD Health guidelines) and REL Events Pty Ltd, with respect to all patrons and staff;
  • Maintain good personal hygiene by washing hands regularly and thoroughly and/or using hand sanitiser.
  • Maintain good respiratory hygiene by coughing or sneezing into their elbow or a tissue, and then disposing of tissues immediately
  • Follow directions by REL Events Pty Ltd to distance campsites as per the COVID safe plan.
  • Complete Digital COVID declaration form to be permitted entry to Rabbits Eat Lettuce with their name and contact details to the QLD Department of Health or any other third-party government department, as required to enable contract tracing procedures;
  • Respond accurately to the following questions if asked by staff:
  • Are you or anyone you live with tested positive for the COVID-19 virus and have not been medically cleared as non-contagious?
  • Do you have any flu-like symptoms (sore throat, runny nose, persistent cough, shortness of breath, fever)?
  • Acknowledge the right of Bohemian Beatfreaks to refuse entry or request their departure from the site at any time and for any reason;
  • At all times, treat staff and other patrons with respect.

General Release TICKETS SALES on sale 1st July 2021.

Due to high demand and a limited venue capacity we will be releasing a limited allocation of tickets early to those that pre-register so you can secure your ticket before the general release. Tickets will sell fast, so get in soon to avoid missing out. The venue has a strict capacity and this event is likely to sell out.

In 2021 we are offering optional Early Entry Add-Ons which will permit the ticket holder entry into the festival from 10am Thursday. This will allow you to arrive before General Admission Patrons so you can get in early to get the best camping spots and have more time to chill out before the main entertainment starts. The Market Area, Boho Lounge & Theme Camps will be open Thursday night. This Early Entry Add-On can be added to your Ticket at the time of purchase for $50.

All other General Admission Ticket Holders will be permitted to enter the venue from 9:30am Friday.

  • General Admission Tickets (3 Day Tickets) to Bohemian Beatfreaks are for 3 days of the event and included camping, entertainment & workshops for the duration of the event and permits the ticket holder entry into the venue from 9:30am on Friday 26th November 2021.
  • Early Entry Add-On (4 Day Tickets) permits the ticket holder to enter the venue on Thursday from 10am 25th November 2021.
  • Single Day tickets are not available.
  • There are no refunds or exchanges for any reason.
  • Car passes cost $50 cash per vehicle on arrival.
  • Anyone under the age of 18 MUST arrive with a legal parent or guardian (no exceptions).
  • You MUST arrive with your government issued photo ID and your ticket to enter.
  • No arrivals before 9:30 am Friday (Unless you pre-purchase an Early Entry Add-On with your ticket)
  • No arrivals between 10pm and 9:30 am any day of the event (Security will stop any vehicles attempting to gain entry between these hours) .
  • All online tickets are E-Tickets.  Once you purchase an online ticket you will be sent an email with an order confirmation & order number.
  • Once you receive your PDF ticket, Print this out and bring it with you to the event.
  • The name on your PDF ticket MUST match the name on your photo ID.
  • PAYMENT PLANS: Payment Plans will be available soon and can be paid off weekly, fortnightly or monthly. You can also select the payment day to make sure it lines up with your payday.

    NAME CHANGES

    If you wish to change the name on your tickets this can be done via our website at any time after 15th September 2021 up until midnight 15th November 2021.

    Please note the name change system will refund the original ticket purchase price (less the $25 name change fee) back to your credit card once the buyer has paid for the ticket through our system and the name transfer has been completed.

    Name changes attract a $25 name change fee which is deducted from your refund.

    Name Changes will void your original ticket and re issue a brand new PDF ticket to the new ticket holder via their email from Festival Director. The New ticket holder will need to pay the face value (original purchase price) for the ticket through our website or less, then you (as the seller) will be refunded on your credit card (less the $25 fee) once that transaction is complete. You can NOT sell a ticket for more than the face value of your ticket / the price you paid.

     

Wow Tents will be back again with their luxury accomodation options that include bedding & electricity as optional extras. Arrive to Bohemian Beatfreaks in style to our pop-up festival hotel boasting cosy canvas accomodation, reception/chill out lounge, make up area and friendly staff to assist you. We may even have some renegade sets from local artists if we’re lucky! We have a couple of different tent options for you. Our basic, economy option is an empty tent, so all you have to do is bring your own sleeping mats and bedding. The next level up will offer a foam mattress and bedding options. We will also have a deluxe option which will be the full shebang consisting of real bed, memory foam mattress, superb fixtures and interiors including bed and floor cushions and fabrics – and power for a fan and to keep your phone charged! All our tents have fly screen doors, LED fairy lighting, carpets and zippable ground sheets as standard so you can open up the tent and enjoy a breeze in the shade on those steamy summer mornings.

Glamping

Take the hassle of driving to the festival out of your hands and relax in a comfy reclining seat on an luxury air conditioned bus while the professional driver takes you safely to the event and back again.
